Comparative Analysis Report
( 25% GROUP )
This project mandates students to perform a comparative analysis of two case studies involving heritage buildings in relation to Modern Historical Architecture. The objective is to acquaint students with the process of culminating and producing a research analysis, employing techniques such as assemblage, chronological arrangements, diagramming exercises, indices, and information evaluation. This encompasses the composition and organization of the study, assembly of illustrations and text, design layout composition, as well as the creation of posters and overall presentation.
The student will conduct a research and architectural analysis on a selected building. Each group will
select ONE buildings from the given list.

Engaging with architectural history, I've learned to use precise visual and verbal vocabulary for various building types and historical periods. Sequencing these periods visually has provided insights into architectural evolution, revealing the interconnectedness of societal changes and architectural forms. Discovering the myriad factors influencing architectural development, from intellectual movements to technological advances, has enriched my understanding of this intricate field. Overall, this experience has equipped me with essential tools for effective communication and a deeper appreciation for the nuanced evolution of architecture.
