ABOUT

Architectural Design 1 is an introductory module to architectural design, focusing on the exploration of design concepts related to self-perception, the human body, construction, and materiality within the realm of tectonics. The primary goal of this preliminary design course is to elucidate design principles through the lens of one's own identity and the physical aspects of architecture. Students will engage in a series of studio-based exercises and assignments that introduce essential methods, principles, and approaches in design thinking and foundational spatial design. The curriculum will also delve into anthropometrics, emphasizing the design of personal spaces through creative exercises that incorporate body movements and user experiences.
