Architectural Design 2 introduces students to the core principles and methods of analysis, abstraction, and synthesis in design thinking, applicable across various design disciplines, including building and architecture. The studio places a strong emphasis on the "User and Context," focusing on the relationship between users and their natural environment. Students will engage in a series of studio-based exercises, starting with investigating architectural spaces and construction through precedent studies, followed by exploring form and space through architectural conceptualization. The module culminates in designing a small freestanding structure that meets user needs and harmonizes with the site context.
